For a while now, I’ve wanted to become proficient at Continental Knitting (yarn in your left hand) like all the big girls do! 🙂 My grandmother taught me to knit with the English Method (yarn in your right hand) and, while I knit fairly quickly, there are just too many things that I want to knit so I MUST KNIT FASTER!!!!
I think the most difficult part of Continental Knitting is finding a way to hold the yarn on your left hand that provides a nice tension so you are knitting using the correct gauge. A few attempts resulted in something that I’m comfortable with and now I’m trying to get faster.
