Sunday Morning Knitting

Today is the last day of our Thanksgiving break.  The kids are sleeping in and my husband has made a pot of coffee.  While he is reading his  newspapers (hardcopies and online!), I am happily searching Ravelry, looking for patterns that can be knit from my stash for holiday gifts. I have already knit several scarves and a few hats but I’m on the lookout for some new and exciting projects.

My daughter recently bought a cute infinity style scarf.  I never really thought of knitting a cowl, mostly because Atlanta generally has such mild winters.  But I tried on her scarf and instantly loved it!  I’m working on a cowl that is similar to one that she has but I’ve been looking all over Raverly for more.  Here’s what caught my eye this morning:

What projects are you knitting for holiday gifts? I’d love some more inspiration! Share here!

  1. I’m working on a ribbed scarf for my son but I fear I will not finish it on time. It requires a lot of back and forth between knit and purl stitches and gets a little boring. So much knitting, not enough time!

  2. I have stitched up the Honey Cowl and love it. I’m in NC, so our winters are similar to yours, but I still use the cowl quite a bit. It’s also a quick knit, so it would be a good choice for a gift. 🙂
